O-rings are the most common type of seal used in the industry. They are available in various materials including NBR, FFKM, FKM, EPDM, chloroprene, silicone and fluorosilicone.
At NEXA we manufacture O-rings in compliance to the following standards:
Quad-rings (also known as X-rings because of their X-shape cross section) provide enhanced leak protection through an innovative design.
In reciprocating applications, avoiding spiral twists while utilizing parting lines between lobes (instead of on the sealing surface), they guarantee more sealing capacity than conventional O-rings and are more resistant to spiral failure.
In rotary applications, quad-rings prevent the seal from bunching and failing.
In NEXA we manufacture quad-rings using various proprietary compounds for a wide variety of static and dynamic applications.
Seal washers are the typical sealing solutions when liquid protection and dust protection is needed.
Situated underneath a nut, a joint or an axle bearing, seal washers are used to soften rubbing, spread pressure, keep components apart, and prevent leakage or stop unfastening. To stop vibration from spreading or to ensure that a seal is stable, a rubber compound is often the best solution for the application.
Seal washers are ideal for surfaces coated with paint, plating or enamel and suitable for use with water, mineral base oils and alkalis.
A diaphragm is a flexible, relatively thick, quasi-self-supporting partition between two areas or volumes (something like the rubber of an inner tube for a tire).
Diaphragms are the sealing choice for both static and dynamic applications. NEXA are typically installed on pumps, pressure sensors, air compressors, regulators and shock absorbers.
Molded diaphragms have many advantages: no lubrication, low Friction, low Hysteresis, no spring rate, no break away friction, long cycle life, effective in harsh environments, ability to operate under severe pressure.
At NEXA we implement continuous upgrades and process improvements of our tooling and process technologies to ensure that we are among the world leaders in custom rubber molding product manufacturing.
Custom seals, molded rubber and plastic parts manufactured by NEXA will meet or exceed your exact specifications. Whether you need a prototype run or high-volume production, we offer single or multi-cavity tooling with competitive tooling costs. We also offer secondary cleaning services and custom packaging to meet customer specifications.
Materials are chosen for each molded rubber component based on the specific operating environment and how the product will be used. Considerations in choosing the most appropriate compound include:
“Our Mission is to find the Most Appropriate and Durable Sealing Elements
for the Most Challenging applications”
NEXA has an engineering department that counts on more than thirty years of technical knowledge and expertise in the manufacturing of customized sealing solutions.
Our competitive advantage can be summarized in the following sources:
“We have built our Reputation on Solving Problems
that others thought Unsolvable or Unprofitable”
“NEXA has an engineering department that counts on more than thirty years of technical knowledge and expertise in the manufacturing of customized sealing solutions.”
A deep Understanding of the specific application, that entails determining what are the most stringent working conditions for that specific application environment (i.e. temperature, pressure, chemical aggressivity etc).
Choosing the most suitable NEXA compound for the application.
Studying the geometry of the seal to design and manufacture the most cost-effective tooling for the molding process.
Manufacturing a set of prototypes for acceptance tests.
Starting production, with typical production lead times of 4-6 weeks.
We use this same approach for any new project, even those involving small quantities that require special customized compounds developed for specific applications.
We manufacture everything in-house and through a network of trusted local suppliers using only cutting-edge technology. We rely on a highly skilled workforce to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations.
